NZ North Island Paintings

This was the view from a bach we stayed at in Whangaruru, how amazing is that. So amazing it ispired me to paint it on canvas, as this view should be shared with everyone.

Sizes Height approx 55.7 (nearly 22 inches), Width 70.7 (27.83 inches), Depth approx 3.8 (1.49 inches).
Spent Easter 2021 at a bach in Whangaruru, Northland and saw this beautiful wooden row boat basking in the sun, parked up on the grass. The sun reflecting on the brilliant blue water and nearby trees made it a must paint.

Size: Height 18 inches (approx 46cm), Width 36 inches (approx 91cm), Depth 1.49 inches (approx 3.8 cm). I painted this after a trip to Kawhia, which is a lovely town on NZs North Island West Coast.
It was such a beautiful sunny day and showed the building and trees reflecting back on the water.

This painting was inspired on a trip on holiday at Hihi. I changed the composition of the photos a little to suit my painting and tried to make it look like you could walk into the picture.

Size Height 760 x Width 1016mm (30" x 40") As we couldnt travel or move around for much of time during 2020 due to covid, I looked for subjects to paint that reminded me of freedom and happier times so I felt inspired to paint this painting of Waikawau Beach. When you walk through the darkness of Waikawau Tunnel you are amazed at the beauty that unfolds as you walk towards the beach. A magical place, perfect for picnics and family fun. NZ$800.00

Came across a few boats lying in the waters at Oriental Bay. Tried to capture the beauty and details of the boats in the shadows of the waters NZ$800.00

It was a beautiful clear summer day in Mangonui and I was struck by the upturned boat lying on the shore with the driftwood trees and rocks surrounding it and Mangonui cruising club in the distance
